Many Brides find it difficult to find somethere to try on Wedding Shoes. Most Bridal Stores do not stock many shoes and if they order them in especially for you they are counted as a bespoke item and therefore non-returnable – even if they don’t fit you!

Well look no further – Weddings2go in Burton upon Trent is Wedding Shoes heaven! With well over 1000 pairs of bridal shoes in stock from well known brands such as Benjamin Adams, Rainbow Club and Pink their range covers an amazing range of styles from the classic elegant to the complete Swarovski bling. Prices for adult shoes range from £30 in the sale to £299 for the amazing Swarovski covered Charlize from Benjamin Adams.

We spoke to Victoria the Managing Director of Weddings2go and asked her what makes her wedding shoe store the place to buy your bridal shoes. She told us,

“At Weddings2go we are one of the very few shops in the UK specializing in wedding shoes which means we have lots and lots of wedding shoes to try, giving you a fabulous choice of styles at a range of price points. Most Brides are amazed when they come into the store and see the wall covered in gorgeous wedding shoes!

The experience we have gained by helping hundreds of Brides, their Mums, their bridesmaids and their wedding guests choose the perfect shoes for the Big Day means we know our shoe collections really well and can assist in finding the right style as well as achieving a great fit – after all you want your wedding shoes to be comfortable as well as look fantastic.

Many of our customers travel quite a distance to visit us as they just can’t find anywhere locally to try on their wedding shoes. We want to make sure that their trip is worthwhile so we will put aisde up to 2 pairs of shoes when you make a wedding shoes appointment, ensuring that you have your 2 favourites to try in your size. Although we have well over 1000 pairs of shoes in stock Sod’s Law says the one’s you want to try have just been sold, so we’ve found putting a couple of pairs aside makes sure the trip isn’t a waste of time. Of course if the put aside shoes aren’t suitable there are still plenty more for you to try!

Brides often come along with their Mum(s) and Bridesmaids as 98% of our shoes and handbags are dyeable, and being wedding shoes they are designed with comfort in mind they are ideal for all your girlie entourage! The colour-matching is fabulous, and all we need is a fabric swatch or cotton reel to match to. We’ve had some absolutely gorgeous colour-matched shoes and we have quite a few customers that return regularly to have shoes dyed once they have discovered how a colour-matched pair of shoes (and handbag) can complete their outfit.

We also have a fabulous range of wedding hair accessories, favours, confetti, hats for Mums and lots of other wedding accessories. Plus for Brides looking for a bargain, designer wedding dress we have about 200 ex-sample wedding dresses all at least 30% off their original RRP. We also have some bargain Mother of the Bride outifts from Maria Coca and evening / bridesmaid / prom dresses all at 30% off their RRP.

We do advise making an appointment to visit us to try on shoes, particularly if you have some particular styles you want to try, and if you want to try on any of our gowns or other clothing an appointment is essential. If you want shoes putting aside it is wise to make you appointment a week in advance so that we can order in the shoes if we don’t currently have them in stock. To make an appointment call us on 01283 534111 or e-mail sales@weddings2go.co.uk”

Weddings2go do of course sell their fabulous range of wedding shoes on-line if you aren’t able to visit their store – although they are really worth visiting to make sure you have found your perfect wedding shoes!

Congratulations! So now you are engaged what it the next step?

There are some key elements of the wedding you should book as soon as possible, venues, photographer, florist…. but to be able to do this you need to decide on a date!

A Summer Saturday is still the most popular but increasingly people are deciding to marry on a week day or “out of wedding season” either to reduced costs or their chosen venue(s) are already booked.

If you choose dates such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or Easter weekend, be aware florists are at their busiest and therefore flowers are in high demand and so prices rise.

For those marrying abroad, in order to avoid the crowds and cut travel and hotel expenses, out of season is a sensible option.

Ask yourselves:
- How much time do you need to organize everything?
- Is there a particular time of year you would prefer?
- Will the wedding be in the UK or abroad and if abroad what is the best time of year for your preferred destination?
- Can you, and your important guests – parents, family, best man, best friends – get the time off work?
- Is this date possible for any guests traveling from abroad?
- Does the wedding coincide with an important event, e.g. a sporting fixture or another wedding?

Once you have an idea of the Month you would prefer, approach your venue short-list, for both the ceremony and reception if these differ, to check for availability and then visit those that are available as soon as possible so that you can make a decision and place you desposits to secure the date.

It is a good idea to buy your Wedding Insurance before placing any deposits so that you are covered – just in case!

Remember, until you pay that deposit your favourite venue and date isn’t yours – so don’t miss out – be decisive!

Osmaston Park is a privately owned beautiful and dramatic 3000 acre park situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Osmaston, at the southern tip of the Peak District.

Sadly Osmaston Manor, like many other large houses, became too much of a financial burden for the family and was demolished in 1965.

However, the old manor site has recently been restored and although the house itself is missing, the surrounding grassed terraces, ponds, stone steps and balustrades are now intact and provide a spectacular and unusual Wedding Venue and Private Event venue. From this site, the views over the lakes, woods and parkland are truly breathtaking..

Osmaston Park is now available for hire as a unique venue for wedding receptions in Derbyshire and corporate events in a fully equipped marquee that can be extended to accommodate up to 500 guests. They have also teamed up with a number of high-quality local suppliers who can provide a full range of services for your event and all offer excellent value for money.
